Mérito 2020 is our most iconic wine, putting together a selection of the highest quality grapes form the Family’s vineyard.

The grapes were meticulously selected from the best portions of the Family’s 12 hectares property, located in a noble area of Vale dos Vinhedos. The varieties choice was made taking under consideration two main factors: the quality of the grapes and the suggestion of the four founders of the winery – Cilo and his sons Olivar, Larri and Celso. Each one of them chose one of the four varieties that compose this wine.

The winemakerÂ’s primary task was to capture the best qualities of each variety, trying to reach the perfect balance of the blend, combining 42% of Merlot, 37% of Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% of Marselan and 5% of Ancellotta. This blend originated a unique wine that displays an exceptional aromatic complexity, a well-structured flavour and very smooth and mature tannins, due to the optimal ripeness of the fruits when harvested. The wine remained in American and French oak barrels for twenty months and was kept in the cellar for another eighteen months.
